God’s first promise to Abram as a new convert was land as a blessing and for the establishment of the Hebrew faith. “The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.” Genesis 12:1. Land and a home are for the establishment of your family as well as seed (equity) for wealth creation.
Here are seven principles to consider for land or home acquisition:
1. Have Faith In God.
“God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." Genesis 1:28. The earth was given to Adam and Eve, the parents of the human family, to live on, to develop and to establish the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. Your Heavenly Father is a good Father. ”A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children.” Proverbs 13:22. He has a property with your name that is waiting for you to possess it. Jesus taught us how to use the principles in my new book, “The Ultimate Secret” to rule your world using the “Law of Creation” and to move to a new level of faith to receive the promises of God. “Faith in God” is the first principle. "Have faith in God," Jesus answered.” Mark 11:22. Believe in your Heavenly Father and believe in yourself for your inheritance.
2. Pray.
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24. God is waiting for you to ask Him for details on the property reserved for you. As a citizen in the Kingdom of God your joy will be enhanced as you establish yourself in your new home. Your possession of property will immediately enhance God’s Kingdom as what is yours is also His and vice versa. This will be the beginning of your wealth creation process using the second principle of “The Ultimate Secret” which is to “Ask” and engage God for supernatural help.
3. Dream Dreams.
“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” Acts 2:17. You are anointed to dream dreams. You are created in the image of God and therefore with imagination that is powerful to give you the ability to create with your mind and see a finished product before it manifests. Every building is first created in the architect’s mind. Begin to create in your mind your new home - the design, colors, furniture, etc. Then Say it and See it. What you see God will give you the ability to achieve. God has your home waiting for you. Use the principles of The Ultimate Secret: 1. Faith. 2. Ask. 3. Believe. 4. Confess. 5. Receive.
4. Be Realistic.
“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.” Romans 12:3. Start with buying the home that you need and can afford and not what you want. Even if you plan to own a mansion some day, be realistic in what you can afford now. Maybe for your first home you might need a partner or two. You might need to start with a condo to begin with. As the family grows, sell and buy a town home with a backyard for the children to play. Then grow according to need and affordability. Your home should not be a trap that stops you from "living an enjoyable life, now".
5. Be Practical.
“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:17. Vain imagination is wishful thinking without action. Faith is always practical as it demands action. Your action will stimulate a miraculous reaction. To get to the top of the mountain you have to take small steps, one at a time. You might even need a coach or a guide. Start to research on purchasing a home. Talk to Real Estate Agents and other home owners. Gather information on how to start the process and access your present financial ability. Pray, listen and be ready to step out even if you don’t have all your ducks lined up in a row. Your step creates a ripple effect that will make your red sea divide.
6. Be Disciplined.
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7. Prioritize your wants for a season. It might take you a year or two of strategic sacrifice, but you have started the steps towards achieving your home. Get a financial advisor, commit to saving and develop a budget and saving plan. Your commitment is the first step to achieving your dream. It is not "if you own your home" but "when". Start the journey now.
7. Be Tenacious.
“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?” Luke 18:7. Jesus tells the parable about a persistent widow who would not take “no” for an answer. She got what she wanted because she persisted knowing her rights. You have the right to own property as a believer in God. Ask and keep asking. Knock on doors and keep knocking. Seek and keep seeking. You will receive what you ask for. Look from the perspective that it is already provided for you with your name attached to the title. Use the principles of “The Ultimate Secret”: 1. Have Faith in God. 2. Ask God in Prayer. 3. Believe. 4. Confess and 5. Receive the home that your Father has already provided for you. Enjoy!
